Tēnā koutou katoa,
It was great to see those who could make it to last Friday's Whānau Hui. Our students love the opportunity to share their learning with you. Our learning spaces are busy places, and you will often only get to see and hear about your child's LC, so we love being able to share what is happening right across our kura.
Thank you to those who gave feedback via the Board Whānau Survey. This closed on Friday, feedback will now be analysed and utilised to support in any long-term planning moving forward. Surveys were also completed by LC3-6 students and all staff, so this will provide us with detailed information moving forward.
Today we practised our Lockdown and Evacuation procedures under the guidance of Harrison Tew, who specialise in emergency management planning. You may recall last year, we had a swarm of bees settle on a tree at the front of the school during a break time. The students responded extremely well and did exactly as they were asked.
Good luck tomorrow to the Y7/8 students participating in the Waimaths Quiz at Boys' High School. They taking part in Mathematical challenges in a relay-style set-up with up to 25 other schools competing. We also wish all the best to 20 Year 5-8 students attending our cluster Ripper Rugby tournament on Friday.
There are a range of other updates within this newsletter, so please read on.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
