Kia ora koutou,
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your patience and support as our teachers have worked through their contract negotiations over the last couple of months. Your support today was appreciated, especially due to the late notice we received about this. This has been challenging for everyone to navigate, and we are hoping that the latest offer is closer to the mark than the last one and will resolve the claims process for the next few years.
45% of our families completed the Board's triannual survey. We thank you for the time you took to do this. Our next steps are to review and summarise the responses and after that time we will provide you with a breakdown of the key ideas and themes from the whānau, student and staff surveys.
King's Birthday Weekend is coming up, which means that next Monday 5th June is a public holiday, so school will be closed.
In two week's time, we will hold our much anticipated X-Factor event. We are really excited to be holding this again. Auditions have been taking place over the last few weeks at lunchtimes and will conclude at the end of this week. Then finalists will be chosen for the big show. There are some pretty incredible entries. Tickets will be on sale from 12th June from outside the pavilion, from 8:15 am each day.

Our Inquiry Learning focus on Forces is going really well. We have been so impressed with the depth of learning the students have been doing right across the school. If you are able to, please call into your child's class before or after school and ask them to show you what they have been doing.
Enjoy the remainder of your week.
